This incident happened in Houston that is an American city. Michael, the waiter, as usual was that day in a cafe when his regular costumers entered. It was a young couple with their son who was 5 years old with Down syndrome.
Beside their table was seated another family, who were continually complaining of the loud noises.
Minutes later the waiter was called by the father of that family, and the father demanded to move the family with child who has Down sindrome to another table.
When the waiter heared the words “children with similar syndromes should not visit public places”, he got so angry and annoyed. He informed customers that he was not going to serve them anymore, after which the guests left creating a big scandal.
Michael took a risk by taking such a step, he knew he could lose his job. But instead, he got a lot of recognition and respect.
